Visa provides the framework, rules, and architecture within which CLOWD9 helps issuing banks manage their Visa-branded card programs.

Visa provides a number of key services:

  • Transaction Authorization: Visa's network enables real-time authorization requests originating with merchants to be routed to CLOWD9 for authorization decisions to be taken
  • Settlement and Clearing: Visa handles the clearing of transactions (exchange of transaction details) and ensures the settlement (transfer of funds) between acquiring and issuing banks.
  • Card Program Branding: Visa licenses its brand to issuers. Issuer processors work closely with Visa to ensure compliance with branding, design, and feature requirements.
  • Product Variants: Visa offers various card types, such as debit, credit, prepaid, and commercial cards. CLOWD9 can configure and manage these Products on behalf of our issuer's.
  • BIN Management: Visa allocates Bank Identification Numbers (BINs) to issuers, which are managed on behalf of our issuers by CLOWD9. The BIN supports transaction routing and processing.
  • PCI DSS Compliance: Ensuring secure handling of cardholder data as mandated by Visa.
  • Fraud Prevention Tools: Visa provides tools and standards to reduce fraud, which CLOWD9 support.
  • Dispute Management: Visa defines chargeback rules and processes, which Issuers can use to handle transaction disputes.
  • Tokenization: For secure digital transactions (e.g., mobile wallets), Visa enables token services.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: CLOWD9 has access to various Visa tools and services providing insights that allow us to to optimize card programs.
