On Ledger With Network Stand In Processing
Depending on your program, you may have Network Stand In Processing (STIP) in place whereby the Network will make a decision on the Authorization in the event CLOWD9 are not able to respond in time or the Network does not receive the CLOWD9 response.
In the event STIP takes place, the Authorization outcome will be subject to the configuration you have in place. If the amount to be Authorized does not exceed one or more of the STIP limits, then the transaction will be Authorized. If the Authorization request exceeds the STIP limits or you do not have STIP in place, then the Authorization will result in a decline.
The following provides actions to be taken in the event of STIP where CLOWD9 (On Ledger) or you (Off Ledger) have made an Authorization decision:
Authorization Outcome (CLOWD9 / You) | STIP Outcome | CLOWD9 To Be Taken |
---|---|---|
Approved | Approved | No Action as a Clearing record and Settlement is expected |
Approved | Declined | Amount previously reserved is to be removed i.e. Available balance will increased. Clearing record and Settlement is not expected |
Declined | Approved | Amount is to be reserved as a Clearing record and Settlement will now be expected |
Declined | Declined | No action as both outcomes resulted in a decline |
