Secure Frame Work

Many of our Customers wish to provide the sensitive card information such as the Primary Account Number (PAN), Expiry Date and 3 digit Card Verification Value (CVV) to permit the card user to transaction with card not present merchants (Internet, Mail order etc).

CLOWD9 Secure Frame Work is the secure solution to transmit the card information from the CLOWD9 platform to the card user securely. This solution means that all of the data is encrypted and can only be decrypted by the card users application.

There are three key parties involved in this solution:

Card User Device: Typically a mobile device, more precisely the application running on the device, that the card user has access to for the card program

Provider: Also, referred to in this document as You and is typically the owner of the card program; however the application may be developed and / or managed by an external supplier.

You are the pass-through service that orchestrates the usage of CLOWD9’s APIs to achieve the goal of transmitting sensitive data to your end user, without compromising the security of that data. It is also your responsibility to ensure that the application running on the end user’s device is compliant with the requirements of this solution.

CLOWD9: The Issuer processor who holds and provides the card information in a secure manner. CLOWD9 does not have a direct relationship or connection with the card user, nor the whole banking application or any part of the banking application.
