Founded in July 2021, CLOWD9 operates globally, using cloud-native microservice technologies to deliver its payment solutions. The platform was the first to connect to Visa and Mastercard’s cloud endpoints and is known for its scalability, allowing it to adapt to transactional demands efficiently. This makes it not only energy efficient but also resilient and highly scalable, distinguishing it in the payment industry​.

With a united desire to revolutionise the payments industry, we’ve built a high-performing team, with an extensive range of experience building and scaling products and businesses from all industries, including payments, banking, investment banking, financial services, greentech, media and advertising.

CLOWD9 has been built entirely in the cloud, using the very latest in cloud native microservice technologies and elastic horizontal scaled architecture. Its decentralized design allows virtual access to the platform around the world, via ‘instances’, with payments transactions routed to the nearest cloud instance, providing unparalleled reliability, accessibility and scalability.

Energy efficient by design, we take immense pride in being the world’s first cloud native card issuer processor to become a B Corp certified origanisation, demonstrating our firm commitment to drive positive change in the financial technology sector. In the last 12 months we have reduced carbon emissions from our platform by more than 60%, while increasing load and resilience. Continued sensible technology choices, made possible due to the nature of the platform, ensure this is a continuing trend.
