Configuration Modes

As the source of data and connections between the networks, CLOWD9 will perform the core verifications, such as checking the Primary Account Number is valid, the status and the type of authentication (PIN, Expiry, CVV2).

CLOWD9 platforms offers the flexibility to manage your customer balance and ledgers on a 3rd party system of financial record or for CLOWD9 to manage the ledgers.

CLOWD9 Off Ledger

Off Ledger provides a real time feed to make an informed authorisation decision based on the ledger balance held within a 3rd party platform or system of financial record outside of the CLOWD9 ecosystem.

All the financial authorisation decisions are made by the client 3rd party platform or system of financial record and there is no internal stand-in enabled on behalf of the client.

CLOWD9 will perform all initial technical authorisation validations for example, correct PIN, Expiry, Status before passing the authorisation to the 3rd party platform for a financial authorisation decision.

CLOWD9 will process the response from the 3rd party platform and forward the outcome back to the network as an approval or decline.

In cases where connectivity cannot be established or the response is not received within the agreed response time, from the 3rd party system of financial record, CLOWD9 will generate a decline reason and transmit this to the network.

In all cases CLOWD9 will return the response via the CLOWD9 DDS interface to the 3rd party system of financial record (once connectivity is re-established - if appropriate) to ensure that account balances can be correctly adjusted.

CLOWD9 On Ledger

On Ledger offers an internal authorisation and a store of financial record that will keep an up to date ledger balance within the CLOWD9 ecosystem.

The end to end authorisation is managed between CLOWD9 and the network based on the balances held.

Following the authorisation outcome, CLOWD9 can communicate the result via the CLOWD9 DDS interface to an agreed endpoint in real time to support a variety of use cases and customer journeys.
